KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – A dedicated team of ten Master of Business Administration (MBA) students from the Graduate School of Business, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM-GSB), operating under the banner “TechBridge,” has successfully executed the “Ready to Rise” Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program at SK La Salle (1) Brickfields. The initiative provided critical educational support and infrastructure upgrades to empower 50 students, driving equitable education and sustainable community development.
Deeply aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the “Ready to Rise” project translates business management principles into highly impactful social action. A core highlight of the initiative is the establishment of an Interactive Learning Room (ILR), sponsored and fully equipped by the TechBridge team. This newly transformed multifunctional space modernizes the school’s facilities, offering students and teachers an inspiring environment designed to foster creativity and engagement, directly responding to the vision of SDG 4: Quality Education.
Moving beyond physical infrastructure, the initiative also provided direct educational support by distributing brand-new school bags and comprehensive learning materials to 50 targeted students. To cultivate a genuine passion for knowledge, the MBA cohort designed a series of engaging interactive activities and conducted interpersonal interview sessions with the youth. By outfitting underprivileged pupils with essential resources and psychological encouragement, the project actively addresses SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. The dual approach of material support and mentorship ensures that students facing resource challenges are granted an equitable foundation to pursue their futures with confidence.
The successful realization of this high-impact CSR initiative underscores the profound potential of cross-sector collaboration, serving as a dynamic real-world application of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. The program was brought to life through a synergistic ecosystem comprising UKM-GSB’s academic framework, the supportive administration of SK La Salle (1) Brickfields, and vital corporate backing from Klarx Inspire Solutions, which provided a primary sponsorship of RM10,000 to fund the educational upgrades. The ten MBA team members played a pivotal bridging role, uniting these stakeholders to create a sustainable model for educational empowerment.
Looking ahead, the TechBridge team hopes the “Ready to Rise” initiative will serve as a catalyst and a benchmark CSR model, encouraging further corporate and community partnerships to invest in foundational educational environments, ultimately fostering a more equitable landscape for the next generation.
